NiFe and SiFe Tape-Wound Cores

arrow_backTo the overview

07 September 2023 | SEKELS GmbH

Tape-wound cores from softmagnetic metallic thin NiFe tapes have been used over decades for several high-tech applications. Meanwhile most of the NiFe cores have been replaced by more modern nanocrystalline cores.

Therefore Vacuumschmelze GmbH & Co. KG has practically stopped the production of traditional NiFe tape-wound cores and discontinued all core types. This concerns alloys like:

- MUMETALL
- VACOPERM 100
- ULTRAPERM F
- ULTRAPERM Z
- PERMAX M
- PERMENORM 5000 Z22, 5050 H4, 5000 ZE
- MEGAPERM 40L

In most cases amorphous or preferably nanocrystalline cores can be used as a replacement. We are pleased to discuss the options with you.

The discontinuation concerns also components with these cores. Please contact us for details.
