ST series safety sensors with RFID technology
arrow_backTo the overviewCombined with specific safety modules, ST G and ST H series safety sensors are suitable for supervision of guards of machines without inertia, and allow the system in which they are installed to achieve the highest PL e, SIL 3, cat.4 safety levels.
These sensors are equipped with RFID technology (Radio Frequency IDentification) and provide high protection against any tampering attempt thanks to the univocal code transmitted by the actuator.
Designed for maximum flexibility in installation and use, these devices can be activated from multiple directions by any type of actuator of the same series; besides, they feature a symmetrical housing that makes them suitable for both right and left-handed doors.
Their monolithic housing, free of resins for encapsulation, makes ST G and ST H safety sensors suitable for applications in aggressive environments such as food or pharmaceuticals sectors, allowing to reach IP67 and IP69K protection levels.
A multicolor RGB signaling LED is visible from both sides of the device, thus enabling quick and immediate diagnostics of the functional states of inputs and outputs.
ST G series is distinguished by its particularly compact dimensions and is also available in the innovative multitag version: the internal firmware of the sensor can be factory programmed, memorizing a different device behavior for each actuator when the actuator is in front of the sensor.
One of the main features of ST H series is the possibility of choosing the sensor in the version that includes a permanent magnet installed inside the housing. The magnet generates a holding force between the sensor and the actuator that can keep the guard closed even in the event of vibration, turbulence or kickback during the closing phase.
Both ST G and ST H series are available in an extended temperature range version for applications in environments with temperatures from -35°C to +85°C.
