NX series RFID safety switch with lock

With a volume of just 85 cm³, the NX series RFID safety switch with guard locking stands out as the smallest in the world in its category, making it the ideal solution for installations in particularly confined spaces.

Its compact dimensions (30x30x94.5 mm) embody over four decades of expertise from Pizzato Elettrica in the field of industrial safety, combined with highly specialized technical know-how.

Pizzato’s engineers have merged this extensive experience with a new design approach, resulting in a device capable of ensuring the highest safety levels—PL e and SIL 3—as well as exceptional reliability, even under the most demanding operating conditions.

Equipped with RFID technology, like the latest Pizzato series of safety switches with locking, the NX switch offers a locking force of up to 6000 N and enables simple and immediate diagnostics of input and output status via an RGB LED dome located on the head of the device.
The switch body is made of technopolymer, a material that provides lightness and structural flexibility, while the metal head ensures maximum resistance to impacts and mechanical stress when the guard is locked. The head also features three actuator entry points, allowing highly versatile installation without the need for rotation.

Each of the three entry points can now optionally be equipped with a hex key manual release. This recent upgrade broadens the application range of the NX series, making it suitable for scenarios where access to the manual release from any device orientation is required.

The operation of the NX series safety switch is based on the bistable mechanism of the actuator locking function, which allows the device to maintain its last commanded state even in the event of power loss. This mechanism significantly reduces energy consumption and overheating, improving the overall system efficiency.

In addition to the version with integrated M12 connector, two new variants are now available to offer greater installation flexibility: one version with an integrated cable, available in various lengths up to 10 meters, and another version with an integrated cable up to 3 meters, featuring an M12 connector at the end.
