We are still curious about flow

We have been working with flow since 1975. You might think that after more than 50 years, we would have seen most of it by now. We haven’t. Fortunately.

And that is actually a good thing.

Because industry does not stand still either. Requirements for energy efficiency, documentation, hygiene, automation, uptime and service are constantly evolving – and new technology continues to create opportunities to make processes a little better, simpler or more efficient.

So we do not believe that we, as a supplier, can afford to stand still either. We keep moving.

iversen trading has developed significantly in recent years.

Our team has grown, and we have added new skills and expertise to the company. Our relationships with existing suppliers have become closer, new manufacturers and technologies have been added to our portfolio, and our role has gradually evolved from primarily supplying components to increasingly advising on the processes in which those components need to perform.

That does not mean we want to be the biggest.

We would rather be good at spotting what is changing – and remain curious about what new technology can do for our customers’ processes.

We try to keep our finger on the pulse

A significant part of our work therefore takes place far away from our own office.

We visit manufacturers, participate in training, follow product development with our suppliers and spend time with the specialists developing the next generation of pumps, valves, instrumentation, heat exchangers and process equipment.

But just as importantly: We visit our customers.

Because development is not only about knowing which new products are available. It is about understanding the challenges that actually exist in production.

Where is energy being wasted? Where does servicing take too long? Where could automation make a difference? Can cleaning be optimised? Can downtime be reduced? And is there technology available today that did not exist when the plant was originally built?

It is where new technology meets real production that things get interesting.

Sometimes new is better – and sometimes it really isn’t

At FoodTech, we naturally want to show you new products.

Among other things, we will bring new technologies and solutions from some of our key partners to our stand.

But our job is not to sell something new simply because it is new.

If the existing solution works, there is not necessarily any reason to replace it. In our view, success can just as easily be a small change that solves a challenge. In some cases, that can make a much bigger difference than a major investment in new production equipment.

On the other hand, we are also seeing solutions today that can do things that simply were not possible only a few years ago. That is the kind of development we want to help bring to our customers.

More than products on a stand

That is why we also hope our stand at FoodTech will be more than a display of pumps, valves, heat exchangers and instruments.

We want to use the exhibition to talk about processes.

At our stand, you can meet our own team and specialists from our partners, explore some of the solutions we work with – and you are more than welcome to bring your own challenge.

Maybe we already know the solution.

Maybe we need to find it.

And maybe it turns out that what you already have is exactly right.

We have been working with flow since 1975. That does not mean we still do things the way we did in 1975.
