The story of Iversen Trading is closely tied to the Iversen family and their deep roots in Aarhus. Jens Iversen, the current leader, has lived in the city for most of his life – except for his time in the Royal Guard. His father, Erik Iversen, was the driving force behind the founding of the company, which started the same year Jens was born. At that time, Iversen Trading was merely a desk in the family’s basement.

With experience from Brdr. Dahl and other companies, Erik Iversen established the business and built a strong network of European suppliers, primarily in Italy. This network has been a key factor in the company’s success and continues to strengthen partnerships based on trust.

The company later moved from Egebjergvej to Sintrupvej in Brabrand, where Erik had been running the business since 1982. About 15 years ago, Jens, with his engineering background, became actively involved in the company's development. This led to a generational shift, where he gradually took over leadership. Today, at 91 years old, Erik no longer visits Sintrupvej every day.

The company now employs eight staff members and has specialized in niche products for the Danish and Nordic industries. Earlier this year, Iversen Trading launched a webshop, which includes fittings for the food industry from Alfa Laval. The plan is to expand the shop with more products from their partners.

What Does Iversen Trading Do?
Iversen Trading is a leading supplier of pumps, valves, flow components, and process equipment for industries where precision, uptime, and hygiene are crucial. The company serves industries including food production, dairies, breweries, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and the chemical industry. Additionally, Iversen Trading has built extensive expertise in the heavier industries.

With over 30 strong European partnerships – including Alfa Laval, ARO, and EMEC – Iversen Trading is able to provide innovative solutions to its customers.

A Growing Business
In recent years, Iversen Trading has experienced growth, driven by the increased demand for technical advice and quality products. As a result, the company has outgrown its current premises at Sintrupvej. In April, they will move to new, larger facilities in Tilst, at Ahrensbach House, which will provide more warehouse space, better customer consultation facilities, and a modern work environment for their staff.

“Our customers need more than just components – they need solutions that optimize their production,” says Jens Iversen. “With our new facilities, we can take our advice and service to a higher level.”

The Future of Iversen Trading
Although Iversen Trading is a company with strong roots in Aarhus, it has a broad international outlook. With customers across the Nordic region and close relationships with suppliers throughout Europe, the company is continuously working to expand its product range and strengthen its market position. With a solid family history and a focus on the future, the company continues to contribute to the city’s business community.

The company’s 50th anniversary will be celebrated later this year, with both customers, partners, and employees invited to join the festivities. For Iversen Trading, it is not just a celebration of the past, but also a celebration of strong relationships, years of hard work, and a promising future.
