When FoodTech 2026 opens its doors in Herning, Denmark, on 27–29 October, Iversen Trading will showcase the new Alfa Laval MaxiLobe – a new generation of hygienic rotary lobe pumps combining high efficiency, gentle product handling and easier maintenance.

A new generation of rotary lobe pumps
With the introduction of MaxiLobe and MaxiLobe UltraPure, Alfa Laval presents a new generation of rotary lobe pumps designed to gradually replace the well-established SRU, SX and SX UltraPure ranges.
The new pumps offer high volumetric efficiency and a wide operating range, making it possible in certain applications to select a smaller pump or achieve the required capacity at lower operating speeds.
This can help reduce energy consumption, mechanical wear and product shear – particularly important when handling viscous or shear-sensitive products.
The pumps also feature front-loading mechanical seals, allowing easier inspection and maintenance without removing the pump from the pipework.
Upgrading from SRU and SX to MaxiLobe
If you already have an Alfa Laval SRU or SX pump installed, the new MaxiLobe range may also be worth considering.
The pumps have been designed to simplify upgrades from previous Alfa Laval models. Depending on the installation, replacement may be possible with minimal modifications to the existing pipework.
