PREPREG
arrow_backTo the overviewPrepreg from DELTA-preg – where performance meets flexibility
With DELTA-preg prepreg systems, you get materials designed to meet the toughest demands in advanced composite manufacturing. The product range is divided into four groups – from low to high curing temperatures – so you can always choose the solution that perfectly matches your process and performance requirements.
Four systems – endless possibilities
High Temperature (150°C)
For components that must withstand extreme demands on service temperature and Tg. Available in both epoxy and cyanate-ester systems.
Medium Temperature (120°C)
Our most popular and versatile system – ideal for the majority of industrial applications.
Low Temperature (25–45°C)
Cure at very low temperatures – perfect when gentle processing conditions are required. Post-curing increases service performance.
Variable Temperature (65–150°C)
Maximum flexibility. Low initial curing temperatures reduce tool requirements, while post-curing allows you to reach up to approx. 120°C Tg, or even 150°C for higher performance.
A wide fiber selection for the right strength and stiffness
DELTA-preg offers prepreg systems reinforced with a wide range of fibers:
Carbon fibers – from high-strength (HS) to ultra-high modulus (UHM)
Glass fibers – E-glass, black E-glass, S2-glass
Organic fibers – Aramid, Dyneema, Zylon
Hybrids – Carbon-Aramid (“tiger fabric”), Carbon-Glass, Carbon-Dyneema
This flexibility makes it possible to deliver solutions for everything from lightweight structures to components designed for extreme loads and harsh environments.
(Availability may vary, and some fibers may require a minimum order quantity – please contact us for current options.)
Prepreg for tooling
The choice of tooling material is critical for both quality and durability. DELTA-preg tooling prepregs are developed to cure at relatively low temperatures – down to 45°C – minimizing the risk of damaging the plug. To ensure maximum service temperature and tool life, a high-temperature post-cure is recommended.
With DELTA-preg, you gain access to one of the most flexible and high-performing prepreg ranges on the market. Contact Svenska Tanso AB for expert advice and a tailored solution for your project.
