Ironhand® - Built to keep operators strong, healthy and efficient
Ironhand strengthens the human grip so operators can use less grip force when performing repetitive tasks. Less force used reduces fatigue, prevents stress injuries and reduces the need for sick leave and the costs associated with it. A healthier workforce means a happier and more efficient workplace.
Ironhand is the world's first active soft exoskeleton for the hand. The system consists of a glove that covers all five fingers and a power pack that is carried in a backpack or hip belt. It is activated when the user begins to move their hand to perform a task using sensors located on the palm and fingers. Via the Smart Assist function, the system learns how a particular operator uses the glove and adapts the control system to provide a natural force.
Mimics and improves the user's grip
The pressure sensors in the glove activate the sophisticated control system in the Powerpack and pull artificial tendons in the fingers, creating a strong and natural gripping movement. The Smart Assist feature uses machine learning and adopts the behavior of the glove based on how the operator uses the glove.
Easy to use for various work tasks
In addition to the Smart Assist function, the operator can configure the system manually and adjust force, sensitivity, locking tendency, force balance, etc. Via the remote control or the IronConnect Pro app, the operator can easily adjust the behavior of the glove if necessary.
Ironhand applications
Industrial workers perform many manual tasks every day. Ironhand is beneficial for a wide range of these tasks, such as Grip-intensive, highly repetitive and/or static work. The system has been tested in various industries. To help you identify suitable applications within your industry, we've put together a few examples:
Assembly - Logistics - Warehouse - Construction
