Ammeraal Beltech Modular A/S is one of the world's leading manufacturers of plastic modular belts and chains for internal transportation. The company's products cater to various industries including automotive, cardboard and food industries.

Previously, Ammeraal used Beltech Modular calipers to quality check parts, but has since upgraded manual and conventional measuring tools to a fully automated 3D scanner from Carl Zeiss GOM Metrology.

Today, the modular manufacturer uses 3D scanning to digitize and quality check its tools and parts.

Result:
By using 3D scanning, Ammeraal Beltech Modular has experienced several benefits and results across the organization.

- Tool development lead time has been shortened by up to 600%.
- Approval of a tool takes less than a minute from scanned data
- The test molding process can be omitted
- Part approval turnaround time is reduced by up to 83.33
- Better dialog between departments has been created

With the capabilities of the 3D scanner and the company's results, ATOS ScanBox 4105 has paid for itself in just six months.
