Nordinvent is a family-run company that Lars ingolf Hansen and Marianne Hansen, Son and mother, I founded in 2020, with the vision of being frontrunners in the circular bioeconomy – where waste becomes resources, and where new biodegradable raw materials can replace plastics and the fossil-based products that are the norm today.

We see ourselves as the future mediator between companies that generate side streams from their food and beverage production, and the companies that are constantly seeking new climate-friendly raw materials for use in their biodegradable products.

If our solutions can help food producers optimize the use of their side streams AND at the same time discover the value of the raw materials hidden within them, then we are close to achieving our mission.

If it is also possible to eliminate the plastic waste that today comes from food and beverage packaging made from fossil-based materials, by switching to packaging and disposable tableware made from 100% biodegradable raw materials sourced from food industry waste, it would be fantastic.

One company’s waste is another company’s valuable raw material – turning waste into value.

Meet us at HI Tech & Industry Scandinavia

Marianne Hansen

Co-owner, CCO and CSR-responsable

My name is Marianne Hansen, and I am responsible for all of our sales, marketing, and branding. In addition, I also oversee all areas related to CSR, including LCA, climate reporting, and initiatives within the company aimed at improving our carbon footprint and optimizing our Scope 1, 2, and soon Scope 3 reporting. When clients want to schedule meetings or engage with us in other ways, I am the main point of contact. Depending on the type of meeting, I determine the relevance of involving our selected team members. I also handle all contractual matters, including agreements, NDAs, and similar documents. This applies to by-product suppliers, finished product manufacturers, and other partners who wish to establish closer collaborations. At various networking events and in the projects we participate in, I am also the person you will meet. I act as the overall project manager for these initiatives, ensuring a comprehensive overview across all activities.

Lars Ingolf Hansen

Owner, CEO & Head of Production and Development

I founded the company and am the daily overall responsible person for its operations. I am also in charge of all production and development tasks and built many of our process plants and systems when we started the company. My background is in Production Engineering, and I have been responsible for all of our overarching innovative work, continuing to act as a kind of “chief inventor.” I now design and build solutions in collaboration with the rest of our technical designers and team members. Occasionally, I am also involved in our BioSolutions projects, helping to develop our formulations. Additionally, I am involved in various soft funding initiatives that we pursue. I also handle communications with our investors and participate in identifying new investment opportunities. When it comes to discussing technical solutions, I am the main point of contact at events and trade shows.

Charlotte Tornslev

Food Technology Assistant

My name is Charlotte, and I am one half of our Project and BioSolutions team. I am part of the BioSolutions team and support our Food Technology Engineer in ongoing customer, research, and development projects. I participate in customer, research, and development projects in collaboration with a colleague from the mechanical department. I develop new formulations for our raw material handling and conduct validating analyses of raw materials and separated materials. My responsibilities—besides developing formulations—also include performing validating analyses and conducting extensive research on new by-products. I am typically the “jack-of-all-trades” responsible for keeping an overview of the lab inventory, reordering supplies, and managing equipment requests. I also have overall responsibility for logistics related to the collection of by-products—currently primarily our coffee grounds collection—in collaboration with several of our partners. I frequently attend trade shows and events and am the go-to person for questions regarding our BioSolutions offerings. I am also involved in discussions about new by-products to assess whether they are suitable—or could potentially be processed—by our team.
