Case: Compact industrial computers reduce costs
arrow_backTo the overview16 July 2026 | Blue Line A/S
KK Wind Solutions deployed modified standard computers for wind turbine control systems, achieving cost savings, proven reliability, and smooth deployment across hundreds of turbines worldwide.
Compact, reliable and cost-efficient
KK Wind Solutions needed to optimize their wind turbine control systems with reliable computing hardware. Their existing setup relied on fully custom-manufactured computers, which proved costly and complex to maintain.
As a supplier to wind turbine manufacturers both domestically and internationally, they required a solution that could collect and analyze extensive operational data while ensuring long-term reliability.
Adapted standard solution
Through a carefully planned process, Blue Line delivered a modified standard computer solution that matched KK Wind Solutions’ specifications.
Through collaborative development, Blue Line adapted their standard I-Box computer to meet all technical requirements while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
The solution’s proven reliability has led to successful deployment in hundreds of wind turbines, primarily in Asian markets.
“Previously, we used a custom-manufactured computer, but we discovered that Blue Line could provide us with a standard computer that, with minor modifications, fits our needs perfectly. The collaboration with Blue Line regarding development and support has been excellent.”
