MAKEEN Gas Equipment supplies critical filling hoses and components for Skovgaard Energy’s ammonia project

Skovgaard Energy is in the process of realizing one of Europe’s most ambitious Power-to-X projects in Ramme near Lemvig.

The 10 MW dynamic ammonia plant will serve as a beacon for the green transition – where safety and operational reliability in all process stages are crucial.

As part of the truck loading station, MAKEEN Gas Equipment has supplied two flexible stainless steel filling hoses with associated valves, breakaway couplings, and safety components.

The hoses are used in both the liquid and gas return connections, which are essential for safe and efficient truck loading of ammonia.

Technical delivery

The delivery includes, among other things:

Liquid supply connection (2”)

5 m flexible stainless steel hose (AISI-316L), PN 28 bar

Breakaway coupling (ANSI 300)

Shut-off valve and safety valve

Couplings in 2” ACME/NPT

Gas return connection (1¼”)

5 m flexible stainless steel hose (AISI-316L), PN 48 bar

Breakaway coupling (ANSI 300)

Shut-off valve

Couplings in 1¼” ACME/NPT

Additional components: needle valves, protective spirals, and hoses for system integration.

All hoses and valves are designed for operation up to 22 bar at 70 °C, pressure-tested, and delivered with documentation according to international standards.

Contribution to the green transition

The truck loading station is a central hub in Skovgaard Energy’s facility, where ammonia is distributed further to transport and industry.
MAKEEN Gas Equipment’s delivery ensures that the safety level is among the highest in the industry.
