Food Safety certified! 🚀 What and why?

At our core, we deliver state-of-the-art processing solutions for the food industry. Our headquarters is food safety certified, and recently, we had a visit from the Danish Food and Veterinary Administration (Fødevarestyrelsen) at our workshop. But why must food safety certification be provided to processing equipment manufacturers?
Our QHSE Manager, Per Ginnerup, explains: "Ultimately, it all comes down to one thing: food safety.
Firstly, we must ensure that every design and execution is suitable for handling food products.
From there, our focus is on meticulously managing incoming materials, including documentation, traceability, FKM-certified components, and thorough record-keeping. For our clients, all equipment must comply with standards that enable proper cleaning to prevent food contamination. In the end, this guarantees food-safe final products for the consumer.
Therefore, we are very attentive and demanding when selecting suppliers to minimize weak links in the chain.
When Jan Domino Vestergaard and his team receive and record materials, ensuring they are traceable at any time in case a component recall is necessary, and when they archive all certificates and documentation, it all contributes to achieving that 'smiley' of approval. 😊
So, it makes perfect sense.
