The challenge
The client aimed to grow its customer base and open up a new line of business—no small feat given the stagnant market conditions and the maturity of the technology involved. The goal was to capitalize on existing technical expertise while remaining focused on the Automotive sector and avoiding costly and complex plant restructuring, especially given the uncertainty of medium- to long-term market developments. The core issue was finding new customers for current offerings in order to ensure continued plant operations. In particular, the client was looking to expand the market for its damping solutions designed for internal combustion engines.
The approach
