The industry's central meeting place and knowledge forum, the HI Trade Fair in MCH Messecenter Herning, Denmark, celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, and it does so in style: Hundreds of exhibitors, a rich and varied programme of activities and, not least, a wealth of product news are in store at the trade fair, which will take place on 3-5 October 2023.

With 17,400 visitors and 550 exhibitors across 11 halls in 2021, the HI Trade Fair is a veritable cornucopia for anyone connected to the industry. The trade fair presents topical conferences, innovative solutions and product news for decision-makers and managements across five inspiring sectors - 'automation and robotics', 'machinery, welding and production equipment', 'internal logistics', 'subcontracting' and 'food technology'.

- The many exhibitors and product news are the cornerstones of the HI Trade Fair, and this also applies to our activity programme, which, like the trade fair in general, embraces a wide range of industries, says Sisse Merrild Nielsen, Project Manager at MCH A/S.

The visionary areas of activity include Denmark's largest technology event, the Technomania future universe, where the Danish Society of Engineers, IDA, together with Green Power Denmark, has a special focus on green energy, electrification, sustainability, technology of the future, digitisation, cyber security, management and start-ups. This is complemented by 3D TECH, which, as its name suggests, specialises in 3D technology. Both reflect the trade fair's focus on embracing the solutions of the future together with strong partners.

Uniting the branches of the industry
The HI Trade Fair makes a virtue of being versatile, and thus the visitors will also have the opportunity to explore The Smart Company, featuring the latest technologies in the digitisation of production processes, and The Confederation of Danish Industry, DI Produktion, which as a novelty occupies a 500 square metre area with both professional presentations and activities. Also present at the HI Trade Fair is Svejsebrancheklubben (the welding industry club), which organises industry-related talks in Svejsecaféen (the welding café).

Finally, there is the IFC International Food Contest, where you can experience the dairy industry's biggest celebration and award ceremony. The area also serves as a networking forum for actors in the dairy sector. The IFC attracts food industry representatives and provides a unique opportunity for food technology manufacturers to connect with decision-makers and new prospects in the food industry.

- With the help of our partners, we are uniting branches of the industry with targeted exhibitors and highly topical conferences and activities. The objective is that in this way we can create activity areas that will not only appeal to many people, but also represent all the very latest developments within the theme," explains Sisse Merrild Nielsen.

The company is recognised as a market-leading supplier of industrial switchboards and climate control solutions for machines and installations - and they are looking forward to this year's trade fair.

- The HI Trade Fair gives the industry a great insight into the latest product innovations on live display at the trade fair, and we are very much looking forward to welcoming our customers at the 2023 edition of the trade fair, says Stefan Gluhovic, Country Sales Manager at Rittal Danmark.
