09 June 2023

Technomania focuses on green energy, electrification, sustainability, technology of the future, digitisation, cyber security, leadership and startups - and the comprehensive universe of the future can be experienced at the HI trade fair, which takes place on 3-5 October 2023 at MCH Messecenter Herning, Denmark.

With the Technomania event area, visitors to this year's edition of HI Tech & Industry Scandinavia can look forward to exploring a versatile and comprehensive universe of the future with a broad programme of activities aimed at everyone in the industry. Behind Technomania is the Danish Society of Engineers, IDA, which this year, in collaboration with Green Power Denmark and others, has created a more ambitious programme than ever before.

- First and foremost, we're upping the activities even more and extend from two to three days to give visitors a better opportunity to dive into our many exciting themes, which encompass everything from green energy and technologies of the future to cyber security and artificial intelligence, which are on everyone's lips these days. Visually, we will darken large parts of the exhibition hall and highlight the important things so that knowledge, technology and inspiration are allowed to shine through, says Lene Christensen, Director of Technology, Networks and Competency at IDA, and adds a few more words about what Technomania is particularly focussing on this year:

- We want to bring more attention to green technologies and how artificial intelligence will impact our work in the years to come. If we use these new technologies wisely, AI can help increase productivity and create positive changes for the employees in the workplaces. Our mission is to show Danish industry what the future holds, which is why startups and good leadership in a digital world are also a high priority on our agenda. I can promise you that there will be something interesting to listen to and something exciting to watch.

The voice of technology in society Technomania, which in 2021 attracted more than 12,000 visitors, exhibitors and partners, covers almost 3,500 square metres, so there is plenty to consider when working with and designing the event area.

- It is important for us to showcase the diversity of technological breakthroughs that are constantly taking place in innovative Danish companies and the entire growth segment. We need this if we are to move closer to the dream of a sustainable, people-centred future. With 150,000 members, we at IDA consider ourselves the voice of technology in society, and Technomania is a brilliant platform for demonstrating this. We want to share our fascination for technology with the visitors and give people some new insights, says Lene Christensen, who also explains the new partnership with Green Power Denmark:

- Green Power Denmark is an Exclusive Content Partner because we share many of the same visions when it involves the climate agenda and the desire to create a green future based on renewable energy.

Land of opportunity for Danish companies Green Power Denmark is looking forward to highlighting the green energy technologies of the future at Technomania - and there is plenty to be done.

- Green technologies are more important than ever. We're facing a huge transition to renewable energy, and it's a land of opportunity for Danish companies, which over decades have established a leading position within the green field. The industry plays a key role in providing the solutions for tomorrow's energy system, where we need to develop some of the world's first energy islands, large-scale Power-to-X plants and a flexible, data-driven energy system that can supply both Denmark and our neighbouring countries with green energy. Therefore, we look forward to contributing with inspiration and debate about the green energy technologies of the future at this year's Technomania, says Jan Hylleberg, Deputy CEO of Green Power Denmark.

Other partners at Technomania include the power grid company N1, which has developed the award-winning app N1GO, Innovation Fund Denmark and the insurance company Tryg.
