FOAMING AND MOULDING IN POLYURETHANE (PUR)

Tinby develops and produces customised foamed polyurethane (PUR) solutions for a wide range of industrial applications.

Since 1972, we have specialised in PUR technology and are today among the leading companies in Europe for flexible and solid polyurethane solutions, as well as PUR/PIR for insulation.

Flexible polyurethane is used where comfort, shock absorption, and ergonomics are crucial. The material can be formed into complex geometric shapes and precisely adapted to function and design.

It is ideal for furniture where a silky-smooth surface is desired, such as backrests and seats. It is also used in products such as grips and protective pads, as well as components for medical equipment, where a soft yet durable surface is important, and where resistance to, for example, chemicals and long durability is required.

Solid polyurethane is a lightweight, strong, and dimensionally stable material that often replaces metal or conventional types of plastic. It is suitable for technical components that require precision, strength, and
low weight, for example in machine parts, constructions, and enclosures with complex geometries and tight tolerances.

Components in PUR and PIR for insulation in the construction industry are also an important part of Tinby’s expertise. Our materials have low thermal
conductivity and high formability, making them perfect for technical insulation, for example in walls, floors, and roofs as well as refrigerated/frozen vehicles.

Our foam boards are notable for being resistant to water, mould, chemicals, and high temperatures – and they have a relatively low flammability.
