This year, hi Tech & Industry Scandinavia is launching the hi Sustainable Development Award, which is based on the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
We look forward to celebrating the exhibitors' contributions to a better world through this award. Below you can learn more about the five nominees. The winner will be announced on 1 October and awarded with DKK 50,000.
Chr. Hansen has developed FreshQ bacteria, a natural solution that improves food quality and thus extends the shelf life of yogurt and other dairy products.
Bio-Circle has developed an effective, resource-saving and environmentally friendly alternative to organic solvents. Bio-Circle's cleaning fluid replaces the dangerous solvents with nature's own raw materials.
InnospeXion has developed a new, efficient waste technology based on an online X-ray inspection system. By rethinking the use of X-rays, InnospeXion makes it possible to sort large quantities of waste accurately and efficiently.
VisBlue has developed a battery technology that allows excess energy to be stored from renewable energy sources and released again when we need it.
R&D Engineering & Automation is at the forefront of a new concept and a new factory that will produce organic grass protein. The R&D Engineering concept replaces soy protein with locally grown organic grass protein. Which, according to R&D, leads to a reduction in nitrogen leaching and pesticide consumption, as well as less CO2 emissions.
The award takes its inspiration from the UN’s 17 SDGs, which together pave the way for a more sustainable future for people, animals, the environment and the climate. The hi expo wants to shine a light on these global targets by celebrating and promoting the exhibitors who make a special effort to incorporate sustainable development into their company.
It is no longer possible to submit products or solutions for the hi Sustainable Development Award.
The jury consists of a wide range of experts from the business sector and research environment with perspectives and knowledge within sustainable change:
