In 2019, hi Tech & Industry Scandinavia launched the hi Sustainable Development Award, which is based on the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). With this award we reward exhibitors' at the hi-expo and their contributions to a better world - and again in 2021 we will find a winner of the prestigious award.
The award takes its inspiration from the UN’s 17 SDGs, which together pave the way for a more sustainable future for people, animals, the environment and the climate.
The hi expo wants to shine a light on these global targets by celebrating and promoting the exhibitors who make a special effort to incorporate sustainable development into their company.
'It's an enormous honour to be recognised for out hard work in this way, and the interest we received throughout the progress really highlights the need for what we are doing.
The actual journey has generated a great deal of interest, which is extremely important and valuable for a small business like ours. In fact, the coverage and attention we have received has been worth more than the actual award, as it has given us the type of publicity we could otherwise only dream of.
And of course we are also proud to be able to say that we are the first ever winners of the award.'
